Blind Melon, for those who aren't hip to the secne..haha...is aN American rock band from 1989 when they had their first hit till 1999 when Shannon Hoon (lead singer) died. Shannon Hoon was born and raised here in Dayton, Indiana. Every year Shannons mom, Nel Hoon holds a vigil on the weekend before or falling on his birthday and fans of Blind Melon from all over the world come and bring their kids and friends and family and meet up at his grave site. Its not creepy at all, its a happy time. Everyone brings their guitars or bongos and plays his songs and lay out blankets and talk and sing and have a good time! I have a friend that comes all the way from Canada for the weekend, this year there were people from all states and even someone who has been travling the world for the past year and made a stop there to check it out. It's a pretty cool experince and you meet alot of cool and unique people and the best part for us is that it's here right in our own town.

Last year me and chip took grace for her first time, she was only around 9 months old and she wore a bumble bee outfit, because on one of the Blind Melon Albums there is a little girl wearing a bee outfit and it become one of their biggest hits. Anywho, EVERYONE loved her! Everyone asked to take her picture and someone even make a youtube video called "Shannon Hoon Vigil 2010 in pictures" and a awesome picture of her and chip were in it!

So, this year we had to take her again ofcourse and the bee outfit still fit so we decked her out in her adorable outfit and EVERYONE loved her AGAIN this year! Pictures were taking and she even got to get into Shannon's Hoon car he use to drive, "the galaxy" to get her picture taken by multipe people, she was a hit! And....the people who made the video, which im not sure who does it, made a new youtube video this year you can find it under "Shannon Hoon Vigil 2011 in picutures"..and shes in it AGAIN! Sooo cool, it's almsot like she is becoming part of the vigil..such an awesome adorable hippie baby I have!! So, I posted some pictures above to show her outfit and some pictures of when we were there.

She loved being able to run free in the grass and just be silly, not to mention she LOVES wearing the bumblee bee wings lol..we had an awesome time, can't wait till next year!

Ahhh..not enough hours in the day!

Sorry it's been a few since I have updated last..I apoligize..but no worries we are back! I have been super busy I feel like lately so since I haven't updated in awhile I posted some random pictures of the past few days.

Can we say BAA-BAA-BAAAAA-BAD TO THE BONE in that picture of grace with the sunglasses on! Ha! I love it! She's so silly sometimes!!

Which, silly leads me to a story to go with the photo of grace looking at dvd's..So, me and chip are taking grace to get a pizza and movie. We get in the car and I say, Do you want chesse or peparoni pizza, Grace? I hear..RONI MOM...yay! lol IT WAS SO CUTE! Then, we go into Family Video and we rented PAUL (good movie, by the way!) and then we take her over to the KID MOVIES and i said go ahead and pick out a kid movie, grace..there is goes..walks over to them and picks up, Franklin the Turtle's Music Lesson, Curious George goes to the doctor, and the funnest one..Frosty the Snowman! It made me laugh, it was so cute..she's like a BIG KID NOW! It's so wild how smart she is. She can say anything and is starting to put her words together already and she is only 19 months! She's not even a baby anymore, now she is the one playing with her babies!

Daddy and Gracie are looking at our neighbors puppy, CO-CO in the other photo. Everytime Gracie goes outback she says his name and hopes he will come out. She really loves animals! She loves Joe, my mom's dog and Hannah, Kassie, and Coby, chip's parents dogs, and Luci, my old cat my mom has at her house now too. It's so cute to see her so loving..makes me happy.

Her favorite toys are purses and baby dolls and anything to do with babies..there baba's, diapers, wipes, she loves to play babies!

Photo Update 101

Hello! Just doing a quick update :) Added some new pictures of Grace. She is showing off her past Easter outfit in the first picture, it's one of my favorties! She looked so adorable in that dress and sweater!

The second photo is Grace and her cousin/bestfriend Natalie. They get along great, well..they did until the last play day and Natalie hit Grace in the eye with a hair brush..(OUCHIE!) But kids will be kids and she didn't mean to hurt her! I'm sure grace will get her back one day! LOL! But they are so adorable to watch play together..they love each other so much and it's a good feeling to know she will always have family friends! They look alot alike most of the time too!

3rd photo is of Grace (with a crazy hair-do), Natalie, and baby Aiden. Aiden is a new addition to the family, came around the same time as Grace's new cousin Harrison came aswell! She just loves being around him because she love babies! We kept him all nite last week..and Grace LOVED IT! Me and Chip on the other hand, decided we will stick to just one kiddo! LOL!

And last but not least is the picture of Mommy and Gracie at her 1st Chuck-E-Chesse experience! She had so much fun, chip had more fun than any of us with the skee-ball! LOL! but it was a BLAST! We just recently went to Chuck-E-Chesse for the second time for my birthday dinner, lol it was for grace..not me...i promise! LOL! She had fun playing there with grandma, grandpa, uncle jay and mary!

Hellllo again blogger pals! We are doing GREAT here in grace's world. Grace is napping at the moment, so i have some time to update a little :) Newest news in little g's world is something pretty exciting!!! Are you ready?? GRACE SMILES FOR PICTURES NOW!

I uploaded two picture of grace's first smiling photo's..she's a natural..look at that adorable face of hers! She's just so silly now..always running around and playing with babydolls. She loves other kids, soooo much! We had a playdate lastnite with my friend Katie and her little boy Cameron. He is 1 also, but grace still thinks she can tell him what to do! She is getting pretty good at sharing, as she did have a whole pack of ritz crackers and offered him ONE out of the whole pack! LOL! She kept bringing him babydolls to play with and he would just look at her like, "dude, g..i'm a boy i dont want to play with no stink'n baby doll..don't you got any toy firetrucks around here?".

My mom brought over a sprinkler for her the other day, she ha been loving that! She runs through it and LOVES IT!

Two days ago grace came from her room while me and chip were sitting on the couch..runs up to us and says BUNNY BUNNY BUNNY IN THERE!! We looked at each other with confusion and i said no silly, your bunny is right over there (its a singing bunny she got for Easter) and she said NO! So, i was like humm..you show me where and what your talking about and ill get it grace so she replyed with.."COME HERE" so i followed her into her bedroom, she had opened her closet door a little and saw her other big stuffed bunny toy hiding in there! I could barley even see it myself so it cracked me up and i said, "oh, you want that bunny grace?" and ofcourse she replyed with, "BUNNY! BUNNY! IN THERE BUNNY!" so i grabbed it and she was happy as can be...i wonder where she gets liking bunnies from? I only asked for one every year since i was 2 years old until was like 12 lolol!! I see so much of her in me, i love it! :)

I got alot of cleaning up to do while she's napping so i'm gonna end this for now. I hope you enjoy the fab photo's of miss anderson! :)

Welcome to...GRACIE'S WORLD!

Howdy There..brand new blogger here! After just recently being introduced to this whole "blog spot" Blogger site, I have decided I want to create my own. A family memeber of mine has had a 'blogspot' for some time now and I just saw it for the first time yesterday..ofcourse, I thought it was super neat! Now, others and myself can relive the day before through words, photos and videos. Online journal, i guess you'd call it! Sounds fun to me!

Anywho, I'll cut to the chase..Grace is growing so fast and is saying and doing new things EVERYDAY! I am pretty stoked to now be sharing some of our experiences with friends and family! Grace is now 18-months old, she hit the 1 and 1/2 mark! YAY! At her 18-month check-up she weighed in at 24 pounds and after a fit of attemping to get her to lay down straight on the baby patient bed to mark her height the nurse said she is roughly 33 to 34 inches tall. (Also, during this visit, she had to get 1 shot...while getting this shot, she kung-fuged the nurse right in the nose! Talk about, MAN DOWN! The doctor grabbed her nose and asked the other nurse in the room to apply the bandaid! Poor Graice turned into Poor nurse, fast! LOL! She didn't like that 18 month check-up one bit..luckly we have 6 months until we have to go back. She must remember the doctors office, and she didn't like it one bit..poor gracie...but she did get 2 suckers and a dora and boots sticker to make up for the shot! Ohh, gracie <3

She knows most of her body parts and animlas. She loves to do the animal sounds, shes got the duck, lion, dinosour, cow, monkey, kitty, and dog down quite well. She also knows where her eyes, ears, nose, mouth, teeth, tounge, arms, legs, elbows and cheeks are! I swear she's a genuis!

Today we bought a English to Spanish notecard booklet..i'm going to start teaching that tomorrow. They say the brain in a child up to 5 is ready to learn anything and everything! She also has the 'My Baby Can Read videos and notecards..we dont get around to watching it as much as i'd like but every little thing counts at this age! She loves learning and she LOVES talking! She talks all day long, some of it is just jibber-jabber but lately she has been saying mostly worlds and even a few short sentences! I don't think she's suppose to be doing all this yet!
We played outside for most of the day today but it's been super hot out so we had to do it in time frames. I have the back-yard all set up for her. My mom had a great idea and we put it into action a couple months ago..to create a "beach" for gracie. So, in the cornor of the backyard we put down sand, then put some cute little bricks around it and set her playhouse I bought her for Easter within all the sand..so she has a beach house! Including a slide and sandbox, rocking puppy toy, flower and chairs! I'll post some pictures of it!
